How They Work:
These self tapping screws tap their own hole as they are driven into the material. Self-tapping screws tap their own hole into the material into which they are been driven, for example: wood, plastic or even metal.
Sometimes a pre-drilled pilot hole will be created to facilitate easier insertion. This is not an essential pre-requiite but it can be helpful as it ensures that the screw enters the material more easily and fixes and positions as intended.
